Oil & Well body oils are plant-oil-based moisturizers (no added water). It penetrates deeply to form a nourishing barrier on the skin, maintaining hydration that can last for many hours and work just as well as your favorite lotions or moisturizers to hydrate and revitalize skin. Unlike lighter lotions (which absorb quickly at the surface), body oils deliver richer, more sustained moisture. Many people with very dry or mature skin find oils especially effective for locking in moisture.
Our products are crafted with premium, plant-based ingredients specifically formulated for dry skin in Canadian climates. We focus on effective formulations without fillers or false promises.
For best results, apply our body oil right after you shower, while your skin is still damp. This seals in the water from your shower and boosts absorption. Gently pat your skin with a towel and then massage a small amount of oil into your body. A little goes a long way, so start with a dime-sized amount and add more if needed. This simple ritual helps your skin drink in hydration and glow from head to toe.

The Origin
Oil & Well started in a small Ottawa apartment, where Deinye was searching for something simple: a body oil that actually worked for her dry skin without feeling heavy or synthetic.
After months of experimenting, blending natural oils and fragrant notes she loved, she created something that felt right—lightweight, nourishing, and genuinely calming to use.
What began as a personal solution became a small batch brand rooted in one belief: body care should feel good, smell beautiful, and bring a sense of ease to your everyday.

In addition, we include soothing botanical extracts: calendula flower extract, for example, calms redness and inflammation with its anti-inflammatory compounds. Together, these ingredients help restore a healthy glow and comfort to even sensitive skin.
Our body oils are lightly scented with emotion-evoking fragrances, giving a gentle aroma that soothes rather than overpowers. Each scent is chosen to uplift your senses, staying true to our “welcome to your skin” philosophy. That said, care should always be taken when trying out new fragrances as they can sometimes irritate highly sensitive skin. If you have a fragrance allergy or very reactive skin, we recommend patch-testing first. For most users, the mild scents feel refreshing and gentle.
Our oils use nourishing plant ingredients known for their skin benefits. For example, jojoba oil closely mimics the skin’s own oils and locks in moisture without clogging pores. Sweet almond oil is rich in vitamins A and E and has been used for centuries to hydrate and calm very dry, irritated skin. Not at all. Our oils are formulated with lightweight, non-comedogenic plant oils. In fact, jojoba oil – one of our key ingredients – is almost identical to your skin’s own oil, so it locks in hydration without blocking pores. This means the oil absorbs fully into your skin and feels natural, not heavy or greasy. You’ll get deep moisture and a smooth finish without any sticky residue.
Yes, you can use our body oils every day on clean, damp skin as your main moisturizer. It can also be layered with a lotion for extra hydration. When layering with your regular cream or lotion, we suggest applying products from lightest to heaviest – so you could apply your water-based lotion or cream first, then finish with a light layer of body oil to seal in moisture. This combo leaves skin feeling extra-hydrated and glowing. Of course, if you prefer just the oil on its own, that works beautifully too – the choice is yours.
